Here's the places we will take you

These are the main spots we will take you on the 4 hour sightseeing tour

Quail Springs

  • Quail Springs Rock Area: Quail Springs, Joshua Tree CA is the first large set of metamorphic boulders that we like to stop at and show you. They are some of the oldest rocks in the park, said to be 1.7 billion years old and you can see veins and dikes running along the sides of the rocks which we will explain. Lot’s of cool plants and rocks on this stop. Great photo stop and nice beginner area for walks or hikes. Lots of Joshua Trees to take pictures of.

Freeway Wall Rock Climbing area

  • A quick stop by Rock Garden Valley Wall Rock Climbing Area: Next we will take you to an advanced rock climbing area so you can see just how big these rock formations get. Fun area to walk around and take photos or rock scramble if you want too. A hidden gem off the beaten path and considered an advanced rock climbing area, these will be some of the biggest rock formations in the Joshua Tree National Park.

Hidden Valley areas

  • Hidden Valley Campgrounds and Nature Trails: Considered the main area of Joshua Tree National Park, we will spend some time in hidden valley and drive you around so you can see the campground and rock climbing areas and all the trails. Hidden Valley has a lot of the old gold mining history from the late 1800s into the early 1900s and we will explain the trails and the history from the miners.

Keys View

  • A quick drive over to Keys View: A must see viewpoint where on a good day you can see 100 miles, clear into Mexico. One of the best views you’ll ever see, you’ll be standing at around 1 mile up around 5200 feet in elevation, you’ll have a clear view of the entire Palm Springs and Coachella Valley Regions which include the Salton Sea. Some called it the Salton View.

Cap Rock Trail

  • Cap Rock Nature Trail: Stop and take a photo of the Cap on Cap Rock, a quick and easy nature trail that anyone can do. Cap Rock is a rock formation and a good stop for a quick walk. The trail around Cap Rock is scenic and the walk is relaxing. A good stop for great photos and a walk.

Skull Rock

  • Skull Rock: (OPTIONAL) An optional stop if you are not tired, Skull Rock is the most iconic rock in Joshua tree National Park and is worth taking a picture next too. It’s remarkable how it’s naturally sculpted into a pirate skull, very popular area for kids and families. Close to the Jumbo Rocks Campground an area on the east side of Joshua Tree National Park, it adds a little time to your trip (30 to 45 min), but if you are not to tired the tour guide can drive you over to Skull Rock and you can venture around the boulders and see the Skull.
